Holistic and Pastoral Counseling provides further integration of the spiritual and holistic lifestyle.

What is Avatar? It is a powerful and speedily effective course based on the simple truth that your beliefs will cause you to create or attract situations and events that you experience as your life.
The goal for the three-section course is to guide you in an exploration of your own belief system and to equip you with the tools to modify those things that you wish to change. THE AVATAR COURSE opens a window to the inner workings of your own consciousness.
The course teaches world lessons (experiential) rather than word lessons (intellectual). For this reason, it requires a trained AVATAR MASTER to guide you into the actual lessons already contained in your own consciousness. For more information read her article:
Mind Over Matter
In the Western system of medicine you learn mostly by thinking and reading about the human body and disease. Typically, in western medicine, the body goes to the hospital, the mind goes to a psychiatrist, and the soul/spirit goes to church. Much of Western medicine still does not look at the human being as a whole, (a more quantum way of thinking), but rather the individual parts (a Newtonian way of thinking). In that sense one could even say that Western Medicine is actually more primitive and antiquated. Most Western practitioners are trained to use primarily the left side of the brain; relying on logic and analysis rather than feeling and creating; an equally important aspect of human experience. I believe that we heal more with our mind and beliefs than any medicine or medical treatment can offer. Those who believe that the medicine given to them will heal them are more likely to be healed by it. I am not, in this case, referring strictly to placebo, but rather the power of the mind/spirit as the true healer. Our belief system is based upon the accumulation of verbal and non-verbal suggestions that have been gathered throughout our life experience. Through patterns of repetition and its associated rewards and punishment we learn to create our own perception of reality. In essence, we therefore become what we think. I believe that we co-create our reality, and therefore, if we can first recognize our beliefs then control our thoughts we can change our reality. I believe that all dis-ease is a result of misalignment with who we are. And who we are…is Source-being. This is a lost or suppressed awareness that is important to bring to light.
Last summer, I attended the International and American Association of Clinical Nutrition, I.A.A.C.N.’s Annual Scientific Symposium. I have been attending that Symposium for many years but this year it was different. Although, the Symposium is the most advanced education on cutting edge clinical nutrition I was not satisfied with the old way of defining disease and treating it with supplements, and diet. Even though the methods are natural and healthier than conventional medicine it is still labeling and supporting someone’s belief that they have a disease. I am not referring to denial of apparent reality but I am learning to and teaching others to focus on their wellness vs. their illness in order to change their reality. I am a clinical nutritionist and I still help people with diet, detoxification, and supportive supplementation, but I am also a pastoral counselor and lifestyle coach. In my practice I have counseled and perhaps inspired people but until now I never have been able to give my clients a viable tool to transform their beliefs and control their thoughts so they can truly heal.
I have changed the way I practice and with these new tools I can provide a truly holistic program. Last Fall a client came to me diagnosed with Lupus. I reviewed her blood work and it would seem by Western medical standards that she did indeed have Lupus or an auto-immune disease of that description. After an hour of consultation and evaluation I suggested to her that we take the label “Lupus” away and just acknowledge that these tests are an indication that she was out of alignment with who she really is. After deeper inquiry we discovered the possible beliefs that created this misalignment. I suggested a detoxification program and that she attend the course that would help her explore these deep beliefs and learn how to “dis-create” the condition that her thoughts have created. She did as I recommended and after nine days her symptoms were completely gone.
I have worked with many clients in this way and I am seeing amazing results.
A few years ago I was a faculty member of the Academy of Oriental Medicine Austin AOMA. I used to ask the student practitioners if they considered themselves healers, invariably they would reply yes. I told them that they were not the healers but that their patient was the healer and that they may only guide and inspire them to heal. I have come to a turning point in my practice since I have found a way to provide these wonderful tools. Although I am a nutritionist and I guide my clients on the care and feeding of their body, I would be truly be remiss if I did not include this important secret to true healing.
